Anna Petersmeyer appointed to MDH Advisory Council

|

Congratulations to our Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Anna Petersmeyer. Minnesota’s Commissioner of Health, Dr. Brooke Cunningham, has appointed Anna to the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) Home Care and Assisted Living Program Advisory Council. Anna has served Vista Prairie Communities for the past three years.

The Council advises the Home Care and Assisted Living programs in the MDH Health Regulation Division, the regulatory authority for licensed home care and assisted living providers in Minnesota. In her current Vista Prairie role, Anna is responsible for all operations of managed communities in Minnesota, Iowa and Wisconsin.

“I am delighted to make a contribution to this Council,” Petersmeyer said. “These are demanding times for our industry, to find and retain staff to care for our residents and clients, and to carefully balance care needs with multiple economic pressures.”

Anna’s senior housing experience prior to Vista Prairie includes Volunteers of America – Minnesota and Wisconsin and Cerenity Senior Care. She is a Licensed Social Worker. She also is a member of the LeadingAge Minnesota Board of Directors. Anna received the 2015 Leadership Award from National Volunteers of America for outstanding operational management in Housing, Older Adult Services and Assisted Living. She’s a member of the Executive Non-Profit Round Table, a group comprising executives from LeadingAge and several long-term care organizations. She holds a BA in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and an MBA from Bethel University.
